About Me

There's something magical about pregnancy and there's a wonderful gathering of momentum during the time of birth.  Women are powerful!  Women are amazing!  With the right combination of encouragement, physical support, and her doula's practical knowledge a mother can have the birth experience of her dreams.  Doula support during birth has been shown in numerous studies to decrease the need for medical intervention, use of pain medication, and reduce complications.

Allow me to help make this a reality for you.  My name is Cheryl and I have a passion for life and all things natural.  I hold a master's degree in epidemiology and have been working in a clinical research setting since 2003.  I am currently finishing my labor doula certification through CAPPA; eager to help women through their unique pregnancy and extraordinary birth process.  I look forward to meeting you and your growing family!

Testimonials

“As a first-time mother I knew that I wanted a natural birth, but was unsure if I could do it when the time came.  Cheryl kept me calm and helped me to understand what was happening with my body - this gave me the strength and confidence to continue with the birth experience that I wanted.”
